Manor Boot

These are my all-time favorite pair of boots. I get lots of compliments on how they look. I'm on my feet all day and my feet never hurt after 8 hours of walking/running/jumping in them. They run about 1/2 size larger than standard sizing and are wide enough for a thick sock, which I love. I only wish this company made more styles of boots (western, calf-height) so I could get more in additional styles! Love, love, love the comfort and look of this boot!

First of all, they're really heavy. Second, the ankle opening is huge. I'm normally size 9 Narrow (with skinny ankles) and ordered size 9 (there was no narrow option). Even if it had come in narrow, the opening would have been large and the top of your foot at the base of your ankle might not make contact with the shoe except when you lift your foot up (gravity). If you look closer at the photo you see that the "slope" of the top of the foot isn't steep enough and starts too far forward. If you have really girthy ankles and feet, maybe you're who this was made for but I can't be sure. I have skinny ankles and my foot has to choose whether to stay back or scoot forward, so my foot is not secure. The main reason I bought them was the pretty, feminine detail going down the side. Even though they seem good quality, the fit is all wrong and I wish I could return it.
